God's Spiritual FLOOD...

Earlier today the kids came over for Hiding Place Prayer. It has been stirring in my heart again about the spiritual flood that has been prophesied over this area. It is a flood that will restore, and bring healing. It is a GREATER OUTPOURING. I have been asking God more and more about how He wants to bring it. I believe one of the things He showed me is that He wants to bring it through people getting filled with the Holy Spirit and receiving the gift of tongues. As people receive this gift, rivers of living water will flow out of them into this neighborhood and the city of East St. Louis. I shared this with the kids and we spent some time praying about it. As we prayed together, these were some of the things that these teenagers prayed out;

• Let people be willing to perceive this flood
• Prepare people to be willing and open
• Let the river flow out of homeless people who do not know Your LOVE

It was such a rich time and the kids poured their heart into it. They had lots of questions about what a spiritual flood means and we got to talk about it together. Before we ended our prayer time, I played the song, "Let it Rain," we worshipped and let that song be our prayer for this city. Before I dismissed the kids, one of the girls had been asking a lot of questions about praying in tongues. So, I asked her if she would like to receive that gift and she said YES! So, we all laid hands on her. She was filled and began praying in tongues! I'm excited to see how much more powerful our prayer times will be on Thursdays.
