Invitation to play cards...

Last night my best friend and I were invited to play cards (spades) with my next door neighbor. They play cards all the time with other people in the neighborhood and it usually turns into a lot of drinking. When I first moved here I went to her house to play spades, but haven't went since then. Her girls mention it every once in a while and say, "When are you coming over again to play cards?" I would always forget about it. Often if she needs prayer or needs to talk about something going on in her life she will ask me to come over or she will come to my apartment. So, last night when her daughter asked if we would come over, I thought there was a problem. We walked in the door and asked if everything was ok. She smiled and said, "I wanted to invite you over to play cards. We just want a different kind of crowd to hang out with." WOW! That statement right there was so wonderful to hear. We played about four games of spades and the team I was on won! Yahoo! We had so much fun, just spending time with them, listening to music and laughing. They were both drinking, but it was so nice to know that they specifically asked us to come. Her two little girls were beaming, they were very glad we came over. This invitation was a sign to me that God is changing her heart.
