God is spreading His LOVE through hamburgers...

I recently received a letter from a young man in his early 20's who is in prison. I will call him John. He used to hang around John DeShields, but was basically homeless, moving from one house to the next since he was 12. His Mother kicked him out. He grew up on the streets, sometimes sleeping in cars and parks. Before he was put in prison, John was one of the young men I served hamburgers to on Wednesdays. He was in prison with another young man who also came for lunch on Wednesdays. John heard from this young man that I had written him several months ago and John wanted to write me. He wrote, "I miss getting hamburger plates from you and I just want to say thank you because you do not have to do that. So thank you." Another testimony about Hamburger Wednesdays is from the young man who I visit regularly. He told me that a different young man who also came for lunch was on his cell block and they were having a conversation about how good the hamburgers were that I cooked for them. God is spreading His LOVE through hamburgers.
