His high school diploma...

I just found out that one of our young people, who is also one of the young men we feed each week, will be done with high school in May! He is older because he got behind in school. He doesn't want to go to the graduation ceremony because he would feel awkward being with all the other students. His Mom was concerned about him not attending the ceremony, but I told her that isn't the most important thing. Getting his high school diploma is what is important. And for this young man to get his diploma is a big deal, especially in this community. Young men at his age, usually drop out of high school because they just give up. But he stayed in! I told him over and over again how proud I was of him and he just giggled. Also, that if he decides to go to the ceremony, that I want a ticket to attend. He will also be getting off of probation when he is done with school, which is another huge deal! Thank you God!
