Toilet paper and prayer...
Today we went to the John DeShields Neighborhood to pray. I never know what God has in store for us when we go. He usually sets up adventures along the way. Today it was an adventure of giving a bag of toilet paper that someone donated. I didn't know who we should give it to until God put a specific woman on my heart. We showed up at her door and she had just arrived at home. There was some chit chat and we could tell that she looked weary. We began to ask her how she was doing and right away she poured out her heart about some family situations she was facing. She has been raising her own kids and her two brothers as well, so it was beginning to wear on her. We just listened and then had an opportunity to pray for her afterwards. When we left she said, "Thank you so much for the toilet paper." When we left we knew that the toilet paper was just the tool that God was using to reach her heart and bring her hope about her family.
