Salvation...

When I went to visit the young man who was in jail I told him that I would go to his Mom's house who also lives here in JDS to pick up some pictures of his family for him. When I got there his Mom told me that she had been in the hospital for a panic attack. She said this was the first time this happened and pointed to 3 bottles of medicine the doctor had given her for the attacks. It broke my heart when I saw all of the pills. I know that panic attacks are from the devil and medicine will only mask the problem of fear, anxiety and worry. I shared with her that I have experienced panic attacks before. The only cure that I found was thinking and speaking God's LOVE and His Word. I challenged and encouraged her to rely on God instead of the pills. She said that she didn't even want to take the pills and that she would put them away. As I was getting ready to leave, her little 4 year old grandson was there, who is so CUTE! She began yelling at him and telling him that he was bad and needed to stay out of trouble. I pulled him close to me and asked him if JESUS was living in his heart. He said no. After explaining to him that JESUS could help him when he feels like acting bad, he decided that he wanted to invite JESUS into his heart. I prayed and he repeated after me the prayer of salvation. It was such a special time, because I could tell that this little 4 year old boy was truly praying from his heart. After we prayed I told him that now JESUS lives inside of him and will be with him at all times. He looked at me with wide eyes as he soaked in everything I said. I let him know that the next time he feels like doing something bad to say this, "JESUS, I feel like doing something bad right now, will you help me to do the right thing?"
