Rude comments...

As I served the guys hamburgers today, I heard the voices of ladies outside of my door that tend to not be on my side. They disagree with me only feeding the guys and not the women. Not all of the women feel this way, but there about 4 or 5 of them that do. I heard them making rude comments about the guys getting food. I felt tempted to continue listening to them and get defensive, but instead I turned on a worship song about God's kindness to drowned out their voices. I know that God has called me to do this for the guys who in the words of some who live here "don't deserve it because they're the ones who cause all of the trouble." But I know that God's kindness is leading these young guys, who sell drugs and are involved in other criminal activity, to repentance.
