Yesterday at Hiding Place, we spent some time praying together. Two of the teenage boys came, one who just turned 13 and the other who is 16. I love watching how God is shaping and molding their hearts to love Him and be hungry for Him. We worshipped together and then prayed about a few things. We spent most of the time praying about the place that God has for us to meet at for the Teen Ministry. As I have mentioned in previous posts, we are currently meeting at my apartment. Since things seem to not be working out with the gym, I have been asking God if He has a different place for us to go. So, yesterday, the boys and I spent some time asking God where our spacious place is and asking Him to provide everything we need for their center. Before we prayed, I asked them to tell me what they would want in a center, because really it will be theirs. These are some of the things that they said and asked God for;
- a healing place for the emotionally scarred
- that it would be fully furnished with the best stuff
- a nice place with a warm environment
- separate rooms to pray in by ourselves
- a room to talk to adults that we can trust so we can get things off of our chest
- enough room for a lot of people, even adults
- red furniture
- a place where lots of kids can come
- a center made just for us
- a computer room
- a gym
- a t.v. room to watch movies about God
- a lot of Bibles and music playing like we listen to at Teen Ministry
It was so wonderful to watch them dream. We prayed for God to show us where this place is and provide it for us. I can't wait to see what He has for these amazing kiddos!
