Tonight we took thirteen teens to McDonalds, it was a blast! We had to cancel our regular Friday Night Teen Program because at the last minute we found out we would not be able to use the building we rent that night. McDonald's was the alternative and the kids were glad about that! We laughed, talked and played games in the parking lot after we were done eating. Volunteers were able to have meaningful conversations with the teens about important life issues. One of my favorite things to do is sit back and watch God use caring adult relationships to demonstrate His LOVE to these young people. The slogan of our Teen Program is this;
- Recreation
- Relationship
- Restoration
So often we have seen God take the teens and us in this same order... We offer RECREATION to them, then through these times, meaningful RELATIONSHIPS are built. Then through these relationships God brings the RESTORATION.
