Today I calculated the roster for the guys we serve lunch to on Wednesdays and since June 2008 up until now, 71 different young men have come by my apartment for lunch. This was amazing to me, because each Wednesday I only cook 6 burgers. I have a George Foreman grill and it's not something that I can cook a large amount on. So to know that 6 guys come every week, but 71 different guys have come throughout the year was so exciting to me! Today one of the younger boys who is 17 came by for a burger. I asked him why he wasn't in school and he said because he had to see his probation officer. In the past week I have found out about several different kids that are in trouble with the law. My heart just broke, but at the same time I was thankful to find out so I can know where they are coming from. I'm thankful that God is letting me truly see into their lives.
