Healing from pain...

Every morning that I prayer walk, there is always an older man who is sitting on his porch. We have become buddies and say hi to each other as I pass by. He is very precious. Today as I walked passed, in my heart I heard, "Ask him if he needs prayer for anything." So, I walked another lap around to get back to him. I stopped to ask him and he said, "I had cancer a long time ago and I had surgery on my chest. Ever since then I have had pain every morning and every night from the surgery." I asked him to put his hand where the pain was and I laid my hand on his. After I prayed for him I asked him if he had any pain. I told him to be completely honest because I didn't want him to say he had no pain just to make me happy. He said, "You want me to be completely honest? I have no more pain there and before you prayed for me I did." Aggghhhh!!! I was so excited! I encouraged him about staying in faith and told him I would be back to check on him in a few days. I am asking God for lots more opportunities like this.
