Pray for the City...

Every Thursday afternoon, a volunteer and I pray for the precious city of East St. Louis. God takes us on adventures throughout the city and leads us to different areas that are on His heart. Sometimes we pray together at my apartment, other times we go to different areas of the city to pray. Recently, we went to the Mississippi Riverfront on the Illinois side which is in East St. Louis, not even mile away from the neighborhood I live in. We sat at the waterfront and dreamed with God. The Missouri side of the Mississippi is beautiful, with the arch, park and beautiful landscape. But, when you look at the Illinois side of the river, it's not as beautiful. We prayed for restoration of this waterfront. That God would begin to make it beautiful, with businesses, beach fronts, etc. An area where people can come to be refreshed and see beauty. Believing for Him to begin the work.
