It overflows...
This morning I went on my daily prayer walk and got angry at how much trash was laying all around my apartment building. In many people here, there isn't a sense of respect for their neighborhood, so they drop their trash wherever they happen to be walking. I started on one end of the building and worked my way around, picking up the trash along the way. When I was half way around, I ran into a boy wha I will call Andre, who I've known for several years. He began helping me pick up trash. What a BLESSING! When we finished, I asked him if he would like to prayer walk with me. He smiled and said yes. As we walked, I began praying in tongues and explained to him what I was doing. I asked him if he would like to receive that gift as well. He again smiled and said yes. We stopped on the side walk and I laid my hands on him to receive this gift, as he repeated a prayer after me. I told him that we were going to continue walking, that I would pray out loud in tongues and since he had been filled with the same gift, he could simply join in with me. As we walked and prayed, I asked him this question, "If something is full, what happens to it?" His eyes got big, because he knew the answer and excitedly said, "It overflows!" I said, "That's right! You have been filled with the Holy Spirit, so the gift of tongues is going to flow out of you." He waited for a little bit and then I began hearing him pray softly under his breath. YAHOO! This boy is 11 years old and soon to hit his teen years. What a GREAT gift to have for this season of his life! THANK YOU JESUS!
