Worth the investment...

About a year and a half ago, I had dinner with two of our older teen boys and encouraged them about their future and dreams. We haven't seen them lately at our Champions Youth Program and have been wondering how they're doing. One of the boys is really good at Art and a DREAM Center volunteer had been encouraging him in this area.

Today as I was driving around East St. Louis and praying, I saw these two boys walking down the street. I pulled over to talk to them and catch up on what was going on in their lives. I was so excited to hear about the steps they were taking in the direction of their dreams! The boy who is good at art is taking art classes at a local college. The other boy received a basketball scholarship to a university in the south and will be attending there in August.

It's times like these, that make all the years invested in these teens worth it. I look forward to seeing all the ways that God leads these boys into the GOOD PLAN He has for their lives!
